FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
  • Athletic Stretching:  Combo of yoga & bodyweight exercise w/ focus on muscle tone & flexibility 
  • Ballroom Dancing:  Focuses on acquiring skills necessary to enjoy ballroom dancing; Partners not required
  • Basic YogaIntroduction to yoga breathing, standing & balance poses, seated stretches and backbends; Good for beginners
  • Chair Yoga: Video instructed, beginner program that improves respiration & circulation and reduces tension
  • Gentle Yoga:  Slower paced yoga that promotes strength, flexibility, better circulation and balance
  • Interval Combo: Cardio & sculpting exercises using equipment to define and strengthen muscles
  • Keep Moving:  Volunteer instructed; arthritis relief exercises
  • Line Dancing - Beginner:  Teaches basic footwork to help find the beat and improve confidence in dance
  • Line Dancing - Intermediate:  A choreographed dance arranged in one or more rows
  • Mixed Level Yoga:  Various styles of Yoga - combines physical postures with breathing techniques and strength
  • Personal Training: One-on-one fitness training; call for details
  • Sculpt, Flex, Stretch:  Using light weights & bands, promotes stronger bones and increased mobility
  • Seniors Staying Strong:  Video instruction; strength & stretch movements that improve mobility, balance and stability 
  • Social Dancing:  Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of partnered, social dancing; partners not required
  • Step & Sculpt:  Combination of step aerobics, strength training and stretching
  • Stretch and Tone:  Combination, low impact fitness using weights, bands and body weight
  • Tai Chi Beginner: Slow paced learning of this Ancient Chinese style of exercise, meditation and self-defense
  • Tai Chi Sword: Teaches grace, balance, fluidity in movement, a harmonious experience for students
  • Zumba: Choregraphed dance for a dynamic workout
  • Zumba Basic: Beginners class; slower paced and teaches the fundamentals of Zumba
  • Zumba Gold: Lower Intensity version of Zumba designed to meet the needs of seniors
